Pharmacists are medical specialists focusing on the proper administration, preservation, and storage of medications. They advise customers on how to take drugs and inform them of any possible side effects. Also, they process prescriptions written by physicians and other medical specialists.

There are different types of pharmacists. The distinction between them manifests in where they work and the area in which they specialize. One type is the clinical pharmacist. These kinds of pharmacists mainly work in clinics and hospitals.

They work with doctors, nurses, and other medical health specialists to treat and prescribe drugs for patients. Clinical pharmacists bear different names depending on the area they specialize in. For example, pharmacists who mainly work with heart-related illnesses are cardiology pharmacists.

Another kind is the industry pharmacist. An industrial pharmacist is more focused on business than on providing care to patients. This position may encompass several divisions, including sales, pricing, or even study & innovation.

Finally, there is the long-term care pharmacist. These pharmacists work in assisted living facilities like nursing homes and psychiatric facilities. They are directly in contact with patients and assist in their general care.
